IRS Runs Tax Professional Awareness Week Ahead of 2027 Filing Season

The IRS is holding Tax Professional Awareness Week this week, starting October 19, with webinars and practical tools for tax preparers getting ready for the 2027 filing season, covering accurate return preparation and protecting taxpayer information, the agency said October 16. If you use a preparer, it is a reasonable week to ask what they need from you for your 2026 return and how they protect your data.
